Maritime 25: Rhythms & Roots Workshops
Our Rhythms & Roots workshops aim to bring local communities together by celebrating Morecambeโ€™s maritime heritage and environment through creative activities for all to enjoy.

Why Rhythms? When sailors worked on the tall ships, their work on hauling on ropes was co-ordinated using songs (called shanties) with a strong rhythm. Weโ€™ll be writing new shanties in the workshops.

Why Roots? Weโ€™ll be using creative art work and new writing to celebrate Morecambeโ€™s maritime historical roots.
