On the North beach near the Clock Tower from 13:30 – 15:30
A fun, non-competetive activity for everyone to enjoy, with a focus on play and family. No need to book just drop by and join in the fun!
PHOTO EXHIBITION
13:00 – 17:00 at Morecambe Winter Gardens
Supported by Lancaster Photographic Society this is an exhibition of photographs capturing the essence of Morecambe Bay as seen by you!
Residents of Morecambe and Heysham are invited to submit entries for this exhibition, any size, preferably printed on card. Bring your photos to the Winter Gardens Tues 11th and Thurs 14th August between 12 and 3pm.
SEA SHANTY WORKSHOPS

- Is a port hole where you drink port
- Is a spar where you buy groceries from
Come along to this enjoyable interactive family orientated activity to find out how the different songs (or shanties) we used to help the sailors work together and are still used today on sailing ships.
Some come onboard and we’ll take you on a ships voyage.

STREET THEATRE
From the picture frame to Eric Morecambe Statue and beyond
This strolling band of players will provide entertainment as the provide their abbreviated version of Moby Dick .. surprisingly title ..Moby Quick
Performing from 14:00 – 16:30 at places along Morecambe Promenade.
WORD WALK
Morecambe Sailing Club Race Office
A creative stroll along the seafront, with poet Anne Holloway – writing, doodling, chatting or just taking in the sights and sounds.

WATER SAFETY/FESTIVAL SWIM
RNLI Inshore Lifeboat Station
14:00 – 16:45
Members of the Morecambe Lifeboat Team will provide information about the RNLI, water safety, and how you can support them.
This event is followed by a public swim led by the Morecambe M.A.L.L.O.W.S. Wild Swimmers at 16:45 near the Clock Tower (North Beach).
N.B. Public swim at their own risk.
